I am the eldest of four children, a big sister to three younger brothers, and the daughter of a woman whose resilience shaped my own. Growing up in a household shadowed by my father’s sociopathy, instability, and absence, I learned early to navigate emotional neglect and uncertainty. With my mother working nights and tirelessly pursuing her degrees to support us, I was forced to grow up quickly — but I also learned to dream boldly. I held tightly to my childhood dream of becoming a physician, and through determination and my mother’s unwavering emotional support, I made that dream a reality. Today, I am a urologist specializing in urologic oncology, and a proud mother to four children — three daughters and one beloved adopted son.
Through my professional and personal journey, I have come to understand the hidden scars emotional abuse leaves behind — and the extraordinary power of healing. This space is where I reclaim my voice, shatter the silence around emotional abuse, and share my ongoing journey toward wholeness.
